Astral Projection is the
art of leaving the body. Of course, whether you actually leave your
body is up to debate. The current psychology-friendly model uses
the term "Inner Planes Projection" instead of Astral Projection, and says
that since the outside world is reconstructed in our minds, we are really
just delving through our minds. This is the model that I personally
favor, for it raises some questions. Through Astral Projection (I
like the model, but I prefer Astral Projection for clarity, not everyone
refers to it as Inner Plane Projection, or knows what it means), we can
communicate with others in the "real world", or the Physical Plane.
If the Astral Plane and Etheric Plane (2 places you can go when out of
body) are just constructions of our mind, then doesn't our ability to communicate
with others indicate that the entire world is just a sort of figment of
our imagination? Think about it. This is the model that bests
fits with Ceremonial Magick, where you have the power effect change in
the world, solely because it is a figment of your imagination. When
you do a ritual or spell, there is an instant where you completely accept
this and allow change to happen. This fits with the AP model.
Anyway... ;-) here are the
sections on Astral Projection, enjoy.
